Hailing from Columbia, Felipe Martinez has been DJing and dancing salsa since 1999. As an prominent and popular DJ in the San Francisco Bay Area, he is extremely passionate about salsa music; he loves to listen to it and to play it.

Driven by an amazingly strong desire to dance and perform, Felipe Martinez has been inspired by many of the great salsa singers and artists of our time. On top of that, he can play the congas like you wouldn't believe! Felipe spins Salsa at over 10 different locations in California and is the main dancer for all of the Mambo Romero Latin Dance Company's Socials.

The list is endless with Felipe...He's participated in many Salsa Congresses (NY, LA, SF, Puerto Rico), he's worked with a plethora of performing salsa artists (Anthony Blea & su Charanga, Jimmy Bosch, The New Swing Sextet, Tito Garcia y la Internacional, and the list goes on!), he's acted in 3 independent films, and now he's working on his own documentary about the salsa dance scene in San Francisco.

Felipe is a fun and unique dancer with a calm and cool attitude that makes learning comfortable and easy. He's awesome on and off the dance floor, so check him out for sure!
